**Job Title: Forklift Operator** **Job Description** The candidate will be operating a sit-down forklift and taking products off the line to place them on freight trucks. **Responsibilities** + Operate propane sit-down lift trucks. + Make labels for each production run and verify the correct information is on the label. + Apply labels and feet to each pallet. + Verify piece counts on each pallet and compare it to the label. + Inspect material for quality defects. + Take products off the production line and put them away in designated locations in the warehouse. + Keep the production line clear and running. + Keep rows straight and maintain at least a 2-4 inch distance between pallets. + Utilize RF scanners. + Work in a fast-paced environment. **Essential Skills** + Experience with sit-down forklifts. + Background in manufacturing. + 1+ years of sit-down forklift experience. + High School Diploma or GED (out-of-country diplomas or GEDs are acceptable with proof). **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with warehouse operations. + Experience in inventory, shipping, receiving. + Experience with RF scanners. + Experience in picking and packing. **Why Work Here?** Our company offers a dynamic work environment in the Polysio industry, manufacturing insulation panels for the construction industry. You will be operating a sit-down forklift throughout the facility, which includes several production lines with machines such as saws and slitters. The facility has an open door policy for trucks loading and unloading products, leading to fluctuating temperatures (hot in summer and cold in winter). Candidates must be comfortable working in these conditions. The position is for the 3rd shift, from 11 pm to 7 am. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
