Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at a dynamic distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading bulk products, scanning products, and ensuring all orders are accurately picked and loaded. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesUnload bulk products such as lumber from flatbed trailers and railcars using lift equipmentScan products using a radio frequency (RF) gunPlace products in the designated area using lift equipmentBuild and wrap loads of products that meet safety and efficiency requirementsCheck labels on products to ensure that they are applied correctlyEnsure products are scanned appropriatelyEnsure that orders are picked and loaded correctlyVerify that the information on paperwork such as vendor packing slips matches the product that is received from vendor or loaded outboundAttend and participate in meetings (for example, morning start-up meeting)Comply with Reasonable Expectations (REs) or other performance goals set for that dayCross-train on other jobs assigned to GWAs, as neededProvide support to other teams as necessary. For example, may typically work in Inbound, but may rotate to OutboundFollow all work policies, support guidelines outlined in Standards of Performance, and adhere to work scheduleCooperate with Associates and Managers, and complete work activities as assignedComplete Safety In Motion Stretches (SIMS)Follow all Safety Policies & StandardsEnsure that floors and work areas are kept clean and free of debrisEnsure that product is stacked safely on pallets and in trucksKeep lift equipment clean and report any needed maintenanceAdhere to major and minor work rule policies regarding safety detailed in the Standards of PerformanceEssential SkillsExperience operating a forklift, including both sit-down and stand-up modelsProficiency with RF scannersAbility to lift up to 75 lbs. with or without assistanceCapability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, stand for long periods, and move merchandiseAbility to identify and read vendor packing slips, carrier shipping documents, UPC labels, and receiving documentsExperience operating necessary lift equipment such as a propane sit-down forkliftAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Cat sit-down forklifts and Crown stand-up forklifts is a plusAbility to work on uneven walking surfacesExposure to dust, fumes emitted by equipment, and noiseCapability to handle merchandise, supplies, and tools with sharp edges or hazardous materialsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
This position is based in a loud distribution center with both indoor and outdoor work environments. The dress code will be provided. Be prepared for exposure to external weather conditions such as heat in summer and cold in winter, as some buildings are not climate controlled.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
