**Job Title: Forklift Operator**
**Job Description**
The chosen candidate will be wearing multiple hats in the facility. We aim to cross-train everyone on all processes in the facility. There are currently two openings available.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50lbs consistently throughout the day
+ Breaking down raw material
+ Filling sacks and stacking them on pallets for the forklift operator
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of Forklift Operating Experience
+ Math skills for weighing out materials
+ Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, sit-down forklifts, overhead cranes, skid steers, and bobcats
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 2+ years of heavy equipment operation (bulldozer, front-end loader, bobcat, overhead crane, etc.)
+ Ability to lift 50+ pounds
+ Proven reliability and attendance
+ Leadership experience
+ Experience as a farm hand
+ Railroad experience
**Why Work Here?**
Once the employee meets the required time of 90 days, they may become full-time with great employee benefits, PTO, etc. There is also a chance of being brought on direct earlier than the 90-day period.
**Work Environment**
This is not a climate-controlled facility. It is also dirty on the shop floor, with more dust than usual. This position may require some outside work of the shop. The shift is from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, working 10-hour days from Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Porte, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
