The Forklift Operations is responsible for providing support to all departments with focus within Inventory Control and Receiving activities.  This position is part of the Inventory Control department and is responsible for participating in all Inventory Control activities.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Unloading glass racks (BIGS or pre-cut); 1) Review for damages; 2) Validate counts; 3) Bundles and eaches; 4) Write specific sizes for pre-cut glass for easier visibility when performing counts Empty glass and steel containers onto dumpster (recording all-off) Daily weather check for possible rain (cover glass where needed) Assist with cleaning and 5S within the Raw Material and Clare Ultra warehouse; other areas as needed/requested Assist with counts Assist with unloading and putaway raw warehouse materials from deliveries; to include replenishments Assist with movement of equipment Maintaining and organizing yard free and clear of debris Full destruction of damage crates prior to disposal Assist with building and unbuilding of inventory racking Assist with notification on adequate supply of propane for use Notifications of full disposal containers Date and record dimensions incoming pre-cut glass in order to sustain FIFO processing Train and coordinate additional associates on pre-cut glass FIFO processing Other duties as assigned Prior experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience in counts with Receiving and Inventory Control. Experience driving various types of forklifts Self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision. Strong time-management skills and the ability to adhere to deadlines. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Teams WORKING CONDITIONS:

This is a non-exempt level position working in a manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and move 50lbs throughout shift is required.

This position does not have direct reports.
