Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to handle sit-down and stand-up (reach) forklifts, gather materials from inventory, transport products to production lines, and occasionally load and unload trucks. You will be responsible for scanning materials in and out of inventory, spending most of your day on the forklift moving materials across the production floor, and performing shipping and receiving tasks. Comfort with getting off the forklift to stage, palletize, wrap, etc., is required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes a production floor with various areas such as a paint area, weld shop, electrical shop, and a showroom for finished vehicles. One area is neat and quiet, while another is louder and dirtier due to welding and cutting armor. PPE such as steel toe shoes, jeans or work pants, and a shirt that can get dirty are required. Glasses and gloves are provided as needed. Candidates must be comfortable working in small, confined spaces and moving around the facility, as they will be using the forklift throughout. Working on the inside of larger vehicles like SUVs may require crouching or working in uncomfortable positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford Park, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
