Job Description
We are seeking experienced Forklift Drivers to join our team in a food production facility. The role involves operating an electrically powered lift truck safely and efficiently while loading and unloading trucks and railcars of finished products, bulk products, fiber, and other miscellaneous items. The operator will ensure these items are placed correctly within the facility inventory system.
ResponsibilitiesPut finished product away in the distribution building from the production lines.Pick orders for shipment and stage orders properly.Stack and retrieve bulk product as necessary.Utilize the Turn-a-Fork and slip sheet attachments to maximize departmental efficiency.Safely operate manual and automatic dock plates.Utilize the glad-hand lock system on all trailer braking systems.Chock all trailers as necessary for safety.Follow all facility GMP and safe food handling directives.Work with other lift truck operators and supervisors to ensure proper movement of all products.Assist the Distribution Group Leader with loading outbound loads.Utilize RF scanning units for product movement through the facility.Change lift truck batteries in a safe and efficient manner.Help produce the highest quality of finished product.Adhere to all company Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety.Report any food safety, health & safety, and quality issues and initiate action as necessary.Perform all duties as assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsExperience operating a forkliftExperience with order selection/pickingAbility to lift 50lbsPrior production experienceAbility to be on feet for an 8-hour shiftAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with inventory managementExperience in material handling, loading, picking, and pallet jack operationExperience with sit-down and stand-up forkliftsProficiency in using RF scannersExperience in shipping and receivingWhy Work Here?

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
