Responsibilities of the Forklift Operator/Material Handler include: + Operation of a fork truck – Pass certification consisting of written and practical testing. + Maintains material handling equipment by noting and reporting any damage or malfunction. + Responsible for proper charging of electrical material handling equipment. + Loading/unloading of product and raw material to/from trailers. + Responsible to ensure material is delivered to appropriate workstations in a timely fashion. + Places incoming items in inventory. + Ensures proper placement of inventory and accuracy of inventory transactions and cycle counts. Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Forklift Operator/Material Handler job: + At least 1 year of recent forklift operation + Valid Driver’s License + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. + 2+ years of material handling experience + SAP experience preferred. + Must be able to balance multiple priorities. + Proven Communication Skills. + Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Open and versatile in accepting and accomplishing a wide variety of tasks.
