**Job Title: Yard Hand | Pay $18/hr | APPLY NOW!** **Full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and more** **Job Description** A Yard Hand is responsible for the safe movement of products from the lumber yard, ensuring efficient, clean, and safe operations. This role involves loading and unloading materials, assisting customers, and maintaining an organized yard environment. **Responsibilities** + Load and unload materials needed for residential and commercial properties. + Handle building materials such as windows, doors, and wood supplies. + Spend 60% of the time loading and unloading materials and 40% operating mid-size industrial forklifts. + Manage varying workloads depending on the shipment requirements. + Stand for long periods and move heavy materials. + Meet with customers to pick up bundled materials. + Accurately pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery. + Conduct cycle counts and keep the yard organized. + Properly use and maintain all equipment. + Commit to continued learning about products, packages, and procedures. + Follow all applicable safety and inventory management rules and procedures. **Essential Skills** + Experience as an order puller and handling general labor tasks. + Ability to operate heavy equipment and forklifts. + Knowledge of all applicable building material products. + Previous customer service experience. + Strong communication skills. + Ability to work independently with limited supervision. **Work Environment** Work is performed in the yard, exposed to all weather elements.
