**Job Title: Forming Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Forming Machine Operator, you will be assigned to either the Production Control & Sheer or Forming areas. Your main responsibilities include loading and unloading sheer and extrusion metal onto various machines, such as stretch forming, extrusion, and chop saw machines.
**Responsibilities**
+ Load and unload material onto stretch form machines.
+ Use hand tools including basic tools, crowbars, and screwdrivers.
+ Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and material to machines.
+ Start and observe machine operation during the first part of production to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
+ Adjust machine controls or other control media as required.
+ Set up and operate one or more of the following machines: hydraulic shear, chop saw, and forklift.
+ Use gauges, scales, calipers, mylars, blueprints, customer tools, and other measuring equipment to check first part quality.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in machine operating, construction, tools, fabrication, and sheet metal.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Experience using measuring tools.
+ Ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50lbs.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Entry Level: 1 year of construction and/or heavy production experience, mechanically inclined, ability to use hand and power tools, and use of tape measurer.
+ Mid Level: 1-2 years of construction and/or heavy production experience, mechanically inclined, ability to use hand and power tools, and use of tape measure.
+ Experienced: 3-5 years of sheet metal fabrication operator and/or heavy manufacturing experience, mechanically inclined, ability to use hand and power tools, and experience with measuring equipment including gauges, scales, calipers, and mylars.

**Work Environment**
The work environment consists of large sheet metal fabrication facilities located in Vista, comprising four buildings. The operator must function as a productive, contributing, and responsible member of the work team. This role supports the company's Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other policies and procedures by committing to total customer satisfaction, lean processes, continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork. Flexibility to work additional hours as required is needed. The environment requires adaptability to changes and the ability to handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vista, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
