Position Summary:

Level One – Level One is an entry level forming operator position requiring significant supervision to perform a variety of entry level forming tasks. These tasks require basic competencies in determining the right tool for the job, reading technical documents, prints and work instructions, using templates, jigs and fixtures to execute forming operations to customer specifications. In addition, level one forming operators will use basic hand tools and hand held measuring tools such as scales, micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions. Typically 0-1 years of experience required with evidence of strong mechanical aptitude.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

With direct supervision, perform basic forming operations such as loading and positioning raw materials onto fixtures, jigs, and presses include setting up tools and equipment for hydroforming processes.Execute basic forming and bulge forming operations using appropriate tools and equipment. Utilize templates and forming blocks to shape metal parts according to engineering specifications.Perform basic inspection procedures using inspection tools, and Mylar blueprints to verify the accuracy of formed parts. Ensure that all parts meet customer specifications and quality standards.Concentrate primarily on entry-level forming tasks such as bulge forming, learning more complex forming techniques under the guidance of experienced operators.Safely handle, store, and transport raw materials and finished products. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the work area throughout the shift, adhering to company safety and housekeeping standards.

Required Skills:

The ability to use basic hand tools as well as basic forming tools such as forming blocks, templates, and clamps.The ability to use basic inspection tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers and Mylar blueprints to complete required inspection procedures.Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks accurately and efficiently.

Required Experience:

This position requires basic experience working with mechanical processes and methods such as hand tools, and light equipment such as drills and pneumatic tools, presses and heat treating ovens.0-1 years of experience in metal forming.

 Level of Education:
