Job Title: Formulation TechnicianJob Description We are seeking a Formulation Technician to join the R&D arm of our international pharmaceutical company. The successful candidate will perform current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) production of pharmaceutical Spray Dried Intermediates (SDI) and Solid Dosage Forms (tablets, capsules, granules). The role involves executing process documentation in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities + Maintain cleanliness of work areas and facility with the assistance of assigned personnel. + Prepare manufacturing suites and components for Production Batch Record execution. + Sign as a verifier on logbooks and other forms. + Execute Production Batch Records (PBRs) and Work Orders (WOs). + Work independently and have experience to be a verifier on at least one line of unit operations. + Keep proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and gowning materials supplied in gowning suite. + Maintain cGMP materials inventory according to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). + Revise SOPs and generate new SOPs when required. + Perform equipment qualification. + Clean and visually inspect the processing equipment, tools, and utensils for cleanliness per the appropriate SOP and document those activities. + Ensure that all cGMP equipment and parts are properly labeled. + Perform other technician responsibilities as necessary. Essential Skills + Experience in formulation, laboratory, and R&D. + Knowledge and execution of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) production of pharmaceutical Spray Dried Intermediates (SDI) and Solid Dosage Forms (tablets, capsules, granules). + Experience with cGMP documentation, spreadsheets, and software applications. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). + Effective written and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associates degree and/or military experience preferred; HS Diploma required. + Minimum of one (1) year of production experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred. + Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. + Pharma or biotech experience highly preferred. + Proven track record of producing an excellent work product with a high degree of accuracy. + Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Work Environment This position is based in a production setting for pharmaceutical dosage forms within a small-scale manufacturing suite. The role requires frequent standing for up to 8 hours, as well as the ability to lift, carry, and move medium to heavy weights of 35-50 pounds. The exact work schedule is from 6 am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday, with possible overtime, though it is not likely. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
