Formulation Tech/Scientist -Day Shift 26-29HRLY
**Job Title: Formulation Technician I/Scientist** Assist tenured group members in designing experiments, drafting protocols, troubleshooting equipment and processes, and gathering experimental data in lab notebooks consistent with company policy and good laboratory practices. Learn to assemble and present technical data to clients and colleagues. Assemble, disassemble, operate, and clean process equipment such as spray dryers, tablet presses, mills, roller compactors, fluid beds, hot melt extruders, and blenders. Perform routine powder and tablet characterization. Perform general maintenance on research development (RD) process and laboratory equipment as needed. **Hard Skills** + GMP + Material Specialist + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel + Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical formulations and solid dosage form unit operations **Soft Skills** + Good work ethic + Mechanical aptitude + Desire to learn + Ability to multi-task + Handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment + Effective written and verbal communication skills + Attention to detail + Ability to follow written and verbal instructions **Job Type** This is a contract position with a duration of 52 Week(s). There may be a potential to go direct with the company after 1 YR. **Work Site** This is a fully on-site position in Bend, Oregon. **Work Environment** The Bend site consists of approximately 100 employees focused on contract early phase clinical drug product formulation development and manufacture. The site is part of the Pharma Services Group (PSG), which also encompasses manufacture of drug substance, scale up, clinical distribution, and commercial drug product launch. The location is smaller compared to other sites and has a new building coming into play soon, located across the street. There are growth opportunities, with various checklists and specific benchmarks required to qualify for new job titles and wage increases. The Bend, Oregon site is a multi-product and multi-client pharmaceutical development site specializing in developing and manufacturing solid oral dosage formulations of small molecules in preclinical and early phase clinical trials (phase 1 and 2). **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
