Formulation Tech. IJob Summary:

Functions:

Operate chemical process equipment, both automated and manual. Conduct activities like sampling, handling chemicals/materials, cleaning, and maintenance following SOPs, cGMP, and Safety guidelines.Maintain a clean and safe process area to ensure the highest standards of operation.Perform manual and computer operations (PLC) to manufacture chemical intermediates and finished products, strictly adhering to all regulatory requirements.Accurately record and analyze processing data from instruments, making approved adjustments to meet operating standards.Recommend and successfully implement improvements to process operations.Acquire, submit, and analyze samples per company procedures, taking appropriate action based on results.Inspect finished products for compliance with specifications, including appearance and packaging requirements.Receive, inspect, and record raw materials and chemical intermediate deliveries.Coordinate and maintain Quality Systems conformance through effective use of Quality Systems tools and actions.Perform duties in strict compliance with SOPs, cGMP, GLP, and Safety guidelines, maintaining compliance status.Assist in drafting DRs and corrective actions.Dispose of hazardous waste according to company protocols and regulatory requirements.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in production/manufacturing as an operator or equipment maintenance technician, preferably in a chemical processing or pharmaceutical environment.Strong mechanical proficiency and experience with SOPs preferred.Completion of Phase I of the Process Tech On-The-Job Training program within the first year of employment.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience may be considered.

Proficiencies:

Strong knowledge of basic equipment and problem-solving skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster a collaborative team environment.Ability to read and interpret technical procedures and regulations.Strong attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and safely.Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift in a 24/7 operation, including evenings and holidays.Knowledge of Good Manufacturing processes and pharmaceutical procedures.

Physical Requirements:

Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, sit, and talk or hear.Frequently required to walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.Ability to ascend/descend stairs, lift up to 50 lbs, and sit for extended periods.Specific vision abilities required, including close vision and focus adjustment.
