How will you make an impact?

The Formulation Technician II will be responsible for the production of various columns and related consumables and work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. This colleague follows written and verbal instructions using common laboratory equipment when performing the following duties. Day shift hours are 6am-6pm on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule.

A Day in the Life:Handle inventory and componentry, eluents, and waste in a safe and appropriate manner.Follow production schedule; develop knowledge of a significant portion of the product portfolio; working on up to 3 products at a time.Maintain production records on all products packed, assembled and tested.Record daily quantities, yields, and discrete job status.Inform the Production Lead immediately of any material shortages and/or production issues.With appropriate assistance, perform basic to moderate troubleshooting and maintenance of production/test equipment.Operate computer system to check revision.Fill out Rejection and Store Transaction forms as needed.Fill out time sheet daily.Assist teammates in achieving goals, often requiring multi-tasking.

Keys to Success:EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent minimally required.Associate's Degree is preferred.Experience2+ years of related industrial manufacturing experience preferred but not required.Preferred: Inventory handling and SAP or equivalent system knowledge.

Equivalency:Equivalent combinations of education, training and relevant work experience may be considered.​Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:Excellent attention to detail.Proficient knowledge of SAP.Proficience in inventory processing and material handling.Ability to concisely communicate with Production leadership to accept daily assignments and report any relevant production-related information.Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear and smell (for the majority of a 12-hour shift).Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Work in a clean-room which is a controlled environment for temperature and humidity having low ambient noise.

Wear gowning which includes: gloves, hair & beard net and face cover, safety glasses with no makeup / jewelry, and the like.

Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and understand chemical hygiene.

Stand and move about including reaching, bending, stooping, grasping.

Use hand tools and equipment including forceful gripping, grasping, pushing and pulling.

Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds.
