Position: Foster Parent Recruiter/Trainer
Program: Indiana Foster Care Offices
KidsPeace invites you to join our mission-driven team of professionals who provide hope, help, and healing to children, adults and those who love them. Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes. Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care.
Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements. Completion of the written Home Study. Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serve. Support foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community events. Fundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youth. Participate in the on-call rotation with responsibility for independently responding to crisis and emergency placement situations during non-routine business hours.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related human services degree required with experience in foster care, adoption or other family serving systems preferred. Excellent written/verbal communication skills and basic computer skills. Valid Driver’s license and registered vehicle, able to work independently in the fieldCheck us out!
