Foundation Development Associate Internship

Performs administrative staff work in support of research and review projects focusing on Hospital policies and procedures and department operations. The Northwell Health Foundation is a philanthropic organization that supports Northwell Health, one of the largest healthcare providers in New York state. The Foundation raises funds and awareness to support Northwell Health's mission of providing high-quality healthcare services to the communities it serves. Through generous donations from individuals, corporations, and other foundations, the Northwell Health Foundation helps to advance medical research, enhance clinical programs, and improve patient care facilities. The Foundation plays a crucial role in ensuring that Northwell Health has the resources needed to continue delivering innovative and compassionate care to all patients.
Responsibilities
1. Participates in the collection and preparation of data relative to the work of the department.
2. Assists in studies to objectivity ascertain the efficiency, economy and effectiveness of department or Hospital operations, policies and procedures.
3. Assists management in facilitating new programs and/or procedures.
4. Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.
Qualifications
1. High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
2. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program majoring in Development Fundraising, Philanthropy, Charity Management, Non-Profit Management, Strategic Communications, Public Health, Business or a related field, required. Undergrad Sophomore, Undergrad Junior, Undergrad Senior
3. Prior administrative experience in a hospital setting, preferred.
4. Strong communication and writing skills, strongly preferred.
5. Interest and experience in development and fundraising, strongly preferred.
Schedule and Location:
Hybrid. Full-time; 37.5 hours per week
Duration: June 2025 to August 2025
New Hyde Park, New York

The salary range for this position is $16-$22/hour
