Responsibilities
The Philanthropy Grants Manager is responsible for managing a grant fundraising program to support the fundraising goals set forth by the leadership of Barrow Neurological Foundation. Grant fundraising program includes: conducting prospect research; writing and preparing grant proposals to private foundations, corporations and government agencies; and coordinating the submission of grant reports to funders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manages a grants fundraising plan for private, corporate and government grants, in accordance with Foundation's annual fundraising objectives.Conducts grant-seeking prospect research on private foundations, corporations, and government agengies for possible grant opportunities, in accordance with the hospital's strategic plan or fundraising initiatives.Prepares proposals for solication, includes heavy grant writing, light budget development, good knowledge of SMART objectives and evaluation methodologies. As needed, works with Program Managers to develop grant-ready programs for solicitation.Monitors progress on grant-funded programs, in close collaboration with assigned program manager. Responsible for obtaining reporting information from program managers in order to submit interim and final grant reports to funders. Ensures program managers submit data reports, where required.Important Note: this position is located on-site at the Foundation's beautiful new headquarters suite on the St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center campus in midtown Phoenix. A remote or hybrid arrangement is not possible at this time.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience Required:
Minimum of (2) two years experience as a grant writer in a complex organization with multiple grant-funded programs, preferably a hospital or academic organization.Experience as a researcher or manager of a grant-funded program in community health or healthcare systems delivery can be substituted in lieu of exclusive grant writing experience.Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and/or additional job-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.We offer great benefits to support you and your family, including:
