The Venue:
This iconic House of Blues venue is located on the famous Las Vegas Strip inside the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This venue has a full-service restaurant, music hall, and nightclub. It is a go-to spot for unparalled views of the strip.
What you’ll do:
Ability to give proper recognition to Foundation Members, Live Nation Executives and VIP’s to instill appreciation for their membership and patronageServe as a resource of information for all Members regarding their experience within both the Foundation Room and House of BluesProvide assistance to Members regarding the timing of their reservationProvide assistance to all positions and communicate effectively with others to enhance members experienceMaintain contact with Manager, Chef, Bartender, and Server regarding the arrival of MembersConstant observation of Lounge area and Podium to uphold the ambiance of the RoomArticulate vocabulary with the ability to adapt and socialize with current audienceExemplary and professional grooming standardsAbility to anticipate guests’ needsEnsure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibilityPrevent and resolve altercations among guestsLead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistanceMaintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shiftCheck identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venueEnsure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down searchEnforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devicesSafeguard against theft and property damageCommunicate clearly using radios, hand signals and flashlights. Remain in constant contact throughout the shiftSet up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.)Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shiftAttend pre-shift meeting conducted by Manager on Duty prior to start of each shiftWhat you’ll need:

(State or County Licensee or Certification Requirement)/ Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or EquivalentFlexible schedule and ability to work late hours3 years’ work experience interacting with people in a positive environmentRead, write and speak English fluentlyMust be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs. using proper lifting techniquesHigh School Diploma or equivalentWorking knowledge of high-end restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, problem solvingSkill in diplomacy, handling multiple tasks, verbal skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skillsAbility to diffuse possibly volatile situations with tact and diplomacyTolerance of all cultures, music and art formsPhysical Work Demands:
