Miller Brother Staffing Solutions is looking for Laborers for a busy manufacturing facility based in Meadville Pa

Position: Foundry Laborer
Pay: 16.41 + $.75 Shift differncial 
Shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
Shift Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6am
(Both shift are currently working 9-10 hours a day 6 days a week)

Summary Description:
Performs a variety of duties to support the direct labor operations of the foundry.
Essential Functions:  Maintain and perform housekeeping of general shop, including sweeping and shoveling sand, knocking out cores, cleaning cores, loading and unloading various materials Shaking out molds and placing jackets and weights on each mold Assist all molders and at the appropriate time, dumping the poured molds into the shaker unit Take castings to the grinding area Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required:
High School diploma or G.E.D. required; experience in a foundry or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Other Position Demands or Requirements:
Must have basic math skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.  Physical work includes: (The work is classified as Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept. of Labor’s Dictionary of Occupational Titles).  Frequencies: Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%)

LIFTING DEMANDS:     Lift 100 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to waist.     Lift 75 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to chest.     Lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis floor to shoulder.     Carry 75 lbs. on an occasional basis up to 25 feet.
