Responsibilities The FP&A Analyst role will assist the Financial Planning & Analysis team in creating forward-looking financial information and financial analysis used to support decision making for the company’s Chicago based, Related Midwest platform. The position will have responsibility for actuals, forecast, and budget consolidation for both business units and cost centers within The Related Companies. This role requires significant interaction with senior level executives within the company. While being based in Chicago, this position will report to a member of Related’s New York FP&A team. The FP&A Analyst shall perform the following: Manage the Related Midwest cash flow and quarterly reporting; monthly tracking of revenue, expenses, investments and distributions with budget/forecast vs. actual variance analysis Monthly tie out between bank reconciliation and cash flow Review monthly capital calls for predevelopment projects to ensure in line with budgets Work with accounting to prepare monthly and quarterly reporting for Contracting company Produce quarterly presentations for Related Midwest platform, which is presented directly to Executive team Build overhead budgets for new projects as they come on-line, coordinate with project development teams to establish staffing plans and communicate key assumptions Monitor platform headcount and staffing plan to ensure employee payroll is being charged to proper cost centers Assist in various ongoing ad-hoc analysis and reporting activities requested by the business leads Compensation $75,000 - $90,000 / year Annual performance based bonus Qualifications Entry level to 3 years of work experience in Finance and or/Accounting Highly intelligent with excellent analytical skills, with a larger focus on financial reporting and ability to convert raw data into financial analyses Advanced Excel User Ideal candidate is a highly self-motivated person who thrives in a dynamic work environment and demonstrates a flexible and adaptable work style that responds quickly Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to accuracy and detail Takes ownership for decisions and is accountable for actions regardless of the outcome Superior organizational skills A mature professional with excellent judgment and interpersonal skills Experience with accounting systems and information tools such as JD Edwards and Hyperion/HFM, a plus Undergraduate degree required; Advanced Degree, CFA and/or MBA, a plus Real Estate experience is a plus Benefits Personalized Health Care: Multiple medical, dental, and vision plan options; Employee Assistance Program Financial Benefits: Competitive salary and incentive packages; matching 401(k); FSAs and HSA; employer-paid life and AD&D insurance; paid leave & disability programs Social Wellness: 19+ days of PTO; mental health counseling & resources; fertility, surrogacy, and adoption assistance; volunteer days and donation matching Career Development: Learning & training programs; tuition & certification reimbursement; internal advancement opportunities Related values diversity in backgrounds and experiences.
