Job Description Insight Global is hiring a Financial Analyst to join the accounting team of one of our energy investment clients in East Brunswick, New Jersey. This is a full time opportunity on a hybrid (3 day in office) work schedule. The Financial Analyst will report to the Vice Presidents of Accounting and collaborate with various teams to assess financial performance, support investment choices, and improve operational efficiency. In this position, the financial analyst will work across portfolio directors, asset managers, plant personnel and other internal stakeholders to aid in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for energy infrastructure operations. This role involves delivering vital financial insights through data analysis, modeling, and strategic planning to support sound business decisions based off of operational data. These high volumes of operational data will be sourced from various internal and external databases including those of subsidiaries and portfolio companies related to our client. The role involves assisting with budgeting and forecasting, creating financial models, analyzing financial performance, and conducting variance analysis. It includes preparing reports for senior leadership, supporting investment valuations, monitoring market dynamics, collaborating with teams for accurate reporting, developing dashboards, and performing ad-hoc analysis and special projects. Skills and Requirements - Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field - 2-4 years of financial planning and analysis experience - Strong demonstrated experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis -Experience handling high volumes of data in Microsoft Excel skills - Strong understanding of utilizing and creating Power BI dashboards - Understanding of energy markets, financial statements, GAAP principles, and corporate finance concepts - Can demonstrate the following through previous experience: attention to detail, excellent communication and presentation skills to C-level executives, and a team player mentality - Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Business or related - Experience working in the Energy industry as a financial analyst null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
