They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance, analyze financial plans, evaluate acquisition activity, and forecast operating requirements. We also engage in economic research to guide investment opportunities and understand the impact of governmental requirements.

 


Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced FP&A Analyst IV to join our operational Plant Controlling team at TE Connectivity MOG, supporting the financials of our El Cajon plant. This role is pivotal in producing timely and accurate financial information and providing business-relevant consulting. The ideal candidate will be adept in product costing, financial analysis, and business partnering, contributing to strategic financial planning and control for our manufacturing operations.  

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Business Partnering: Collaborate with project and product management teams to calculate contribution margins and conduct cost simulations. Act as a business partner to the local operations team, providing support in regular operations reviews and contributing to strategic decision-making.
•    Performance Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and submit monthly manufacturing performance results. Maintain and update datasets of plant performance figures and key performance indicators (KPIs).
•    Forecasting and Budgeting: Support the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and internal and external audits. Engage in weekly reporting of actual results against forecasts and review with the Plant Controller and Operations Team.
•    Cost Control and Compliance: Monitor and control costs, track expenditures, and follow up on variances. Ensure data integrity and conduct monthly reviews of actual savings
•    Provide detailed analysis and guidance on capital expenditure requests, ensuring effective control of capital spend and accurate reporting.
•    Support Product costing activities, including annual and rolling costing processes. 
•    Perform savings project financial validation.  In conjunction with TEOA lead, report Monthly TEBIT savings.
•    Implement permanent controls to ensure compliance with company policies.
•    Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reports to enhance operational efficiency. Proactively identify business performance gaps and propose actions to close these gaps.
•    Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide support on ad-hoc financial analyses and business performance improvement initiatives as needed.

What your background should look like:

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting, or Controlling. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
•    Experience: Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience in operational plant controlling is highly desirable. Financial Analysis & Reporting in accordance to GAAP & IFRS ( a plus)
•    Technical Skills: Mastery of Microsoft Excel is required. Proficiency in other Microsoft Office programs is essential. Experience with SAP or MACOLA ERP systems is beneficial.
•    Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with an emphasis on strategic thinking, teamwork, and results-driven implementation.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact effectively at different organizational levels and functions to identify and resolve issues.
•    Compliance: Must meet requirements for access to information subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). This includes being a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
•    Language Skills: Fluent in English.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $111,936-167,904 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
