Shockwave Medical, Inc., recently acquired by Johnson & Johnson, is a pioneer in the development and commercialization of Intravascular Lithotripsy (IVL) to treat complex calcified cardiovascular disease. Shockwave Medical aims to establish a new standard of care for medical device treatment of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease through its differentiated and proprietary local delivery of sonic pressure waves for the treatment of calcified plaque.
Position Overview
The FP&A Manager plays a key role in planning, analysis, reporting, and strategy to support our rapidly growing organization. This individual will collaborate with the FP&A team and key stakeholders across the organization, taking responsibility for implementing and driving process improvements, delivering value-added business analysis, and defining and reporting meaningful financial and operational metrics that facilitate insightful business decision-making.
Essential Job Functions
+ Manage and coordinate the development of annual and recurring forecasts, focusing on the underlying business drivers, key financial, and operational metrics to align with long-term objectives
+ Own the global financials and planning calendar, clearly communicating timelines, deliverables, and expectations to all planning stakeholders
+ Identify gaps in existing planning and forecasting processes, develop solutions to address those gaps, and drive greater integration and standardization across planning teams
+ Partner with key stakeholders across the organization, including the FP&A team and Accounting, to provide narrative insights on current and expected future performance
+ Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results and deliverables for the Executive team and Corporate J&J team
+ Collaborate with the FP&A system administrator on the implementation and use of forecasting tools to ensure system parity
+ Provide analytical, financial modeling, and decision-making support for ad-hoc and special projects
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
+ 6+ years of experience in combination FP&A, Finance or Accounting role
+ Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables
+ Familiarity with planning software such as Adaptive
+ Understanding of GAAP accounting and financial statements
+ Demonstrated ability to business partner cross-functionally
+ Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
+ Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines
+ Team player with strong work ethic
Additional Information:
+ The anticipated base pay range for this position is $114,000 to $197,800 annually.
+ The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

+ Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
+ Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
+ Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year
+ Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
