The Finance Analyst FP&A is responsible for supporting Abcam’s FP&A function through consistent financial reporting and analysis. This position reports to the Finance Business Partner FP&A and is part of the Financial Planning and Analysis Team located in Cambridge and will be on site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Planning and Budgeting: Support the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals. + Financial Analysis: Complete month end tasks for the corporate functions, including variance analysis, trend analysis, preparation of opex reports, posting required journals. + Decision Support: Provide ad hoc support to the FP&A central team on group wide data analysis, reporting and performance. + Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency. + Support Oracle (EPM) improvements – including testing, reviewing and being a super user amongst peers. The essential requirements of the job include: + Part qualified/close to qualified accountant. + Proven experience in a similar role. + Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills (i.e. Excel). + Strong understanding of financial principles and accounting standards.
