SPS is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team. The Financial Analyst will work closely with finance and business management to deliver reporting and analytical support. This role provides financial reporting and analysis of operational expenses while enhancing the clarity of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting. It also involves collaborating with the Finance department, senior leaders, to support budgeting, forecasting, and various projects and analyses, enabling the organization’s rapid growth.

The Day-to-Day 

 

The Financial Analyst will perform key financial analysis on strategic business initiatives to help drive proactive, value-added analytics to drive strategic business decisions. Key to the success of this position will be ability to perform financial analyses which will make sense of data from different sources and provide key insights and recommendations, obtaining the necessary data and information to ensure complete, timely and accurate analysis of financial information, and processes in a proactive and effective manner. The Financial Analyst will also need to successfully collaborate and partner with aligned business unit(s) to understand their business and provide various analytic support.   

 

Responsibilities will include: 

Assist with business on monthly rolling forecasts, including variance and trend analysis Effectively communicate/present results of analyses with recommended courses of actions Collaborate across business units within SPS; be a proactive business partner Support and work directly with the management team in the analysis and monitoring key financial statistics and analytics Proactively contribute to the identification of opportunities and actions to improve financial performance through creation of financial reporting and analytic tools Develop sound financial models and/or business cases in partnership with business managers Demonstrate ethical responsibility, personal accountability, and responsibility for the integrity and reliability of data, modeling, and reporting Lead and/or provide expertise to ad hoc projects and analysis as required; ROI modeling, etc. 

 

Required Skills/ Experience 

 

Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of related experience Proven ability to take initiative and be proactive, with the desire to grow and learn Curious and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a creative problem-solving approach  Ability to develop a strong understanding of internal data sources, including accessing, analyzing, and addressing specific questions with relevant data Advanced computer proficiency, especially in Excel and financial management systems Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to manage multiple projects with strong follow through skills Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills; ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment Works well in independent or team environments; demonstrated team player with positive attitude 

 

Nice to Haves 

Software / SaaS Industry Experience Experience with PowerBI or Tableau Accounting experience

The salary range for this role considers several factors, including education, relevant skills, work history, certifications, location, and more.

 

The annual salary range for this role is: $77,300- $115,900. The actual salary offered will be determined based on the factors listed above and may fall anywhere within the range.
