What You’ll Be Doing - Overall Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic FP&A Manager to join our dynamic SaaS company. The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical skills, experience in financial planning and analysis, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role will support our financial decision-making processes through in-depth modeling & analysis, forecasting, and reporting. What You’ll Be Doing + Financial Analysis & Modeling: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate company performance add financial insights, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario planning regarding M&A and contingencies. + Financial Forecasting & Annual Operating Plans: Analyze and assist in monthly forecasts and the development of annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. + Creating Annual Operating Plan: Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. + Reporting: Prepare financial reports to management, highlighting key financial trends, variances, and insights of the business . + Data Management: Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data within the financial systems. Develop and maintain financial models, data loads and databases. + KPI Performance Metric tracking: Develop monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance and support strategic initiatives, including sales pipeline analysis and industry benchmarks. + P&L Analysis: Analyze and report on cost drivers and provide recommendations for cost optimization. Ongoing analysis of revenue, cost of goods and functional operating expenses. Provide insight into operational efficiencies. + Ad Hoc Analysis: Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support special projects, strategic initiatives, and business cases. + Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Service & Support, and Operations, to gather data and insights for financial analysis. What You’ll Bring to the Table + Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance , Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus. + Experience: 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis and modeling, preferably in a SaaS or technology company. Experience in a professional services firm, such as investment banking or consulting, is highly desirable. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling, advanced Excel skills and robust financial modeling experience. Significant user experience with financial planning and ERP software, preferably NetSuite, and experience with financial planning software. Robust modeling experience a plus. + Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. + Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders. + Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail. + Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, flexible, fast-paced environment. “Can do” approach and high level of commitment to delivering accurately and on time. Preferred Qualifications + Deep Knowledge of SaaS Metrics: I n-depth understanding of key SaaS metrics such as MRR, ARR, CAC, expansion, retention, churn rates, and renewal rates. + Experience with ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar platforms. + Continuous Improvement: A proactive approach to improving financial processes and systems . What’s Good to Know + Travel : Minimal travel is expected with po tential for infrequent trips related to training or team meetings . + Schedule: As part of a public company, we adhere to tight month-end reporting and forecasting requirements that typically fall into the first 1-2 weeks of a month. These deadlines are nonnegotiable and may require additional or alternative hours to deliver results depending on the month.
