FP&A Senior Analyst

American National is seeking a full-time, FP&A Process Manager. You will assist in gathering financial projections from various teams, forecast for the balance sheets, partner with the internal Actuarial team to conduct actual analysis, and build models to enhance investment recommendations. To thrive in the position, you should be comfortable in an independent contributor role, understand GAAP and/or statutory accounting principles, have the ability to analyze financial statements, and make sound endorsements upon final analysis. 

 

Onsite Placement Locations: League City or Houston Texas

What will you do? 
Partner with business units to deliver financial annual plans and quarterly forecasts aligned with the company's long-term goals 
Analyze financial information (GAAP and Stat), identify trends and opportunities, and provide insights to various levels of management 
Collaborate with Corporate Technology Services to enhance planning process using technology 
Develop driver-based models to automate and streamline financial processes and improve analysis turnaround times

 

Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or actuarial
Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP and/or Stat)
Experience with using ERP and EPM software (SAP BPC, Hyperion, Oracle, OneStream) beneficial
Professional working experience in an accounting/financial planning environment (Insurance knowledge valuable)
Ability to read and interpret financial statements and share trends with leadership team
Financial modeling or sensitivity analysis skills, preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
