FP&A Senior Manager, Systems

Job Summary

The FP&A Sr. Manager of Systems is responsible for managing and maintaining our existing systems landscape (in partnership with the accounting systems administrator), including configuration, data integrity, user access, model building, reporting and integrations.  This role supports the organization’s financial planning and analysis processes, ensuring accurate and timely data for decision-making; collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translating them into system solutions, and providing ongoing training and support on the various systems utilized across the department.

 

Key Responsibilities

System Administration:  Managing user access and security roles.  Configuring system settings, dimensions, and hierarchies to align with business needs.  Performing data imports and exports, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.  Maintaining system integrations in partnership it the IT Data team. Model Building and Reporting: Designing and developing financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.  Creating custom reports and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs). Implementing data calculations and formulas to ensure accurate reporting. Business Collaboration: Working closely with finance teams (FP&A) to understand business requirements and translate them into system configurations. Gathering feedback from users to identify areas for improvement and system enhancements. Providing training and support to end users on system features and functionality. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identifying and resolving technical issues. Monitoring system performance and addressing any data integrity concerns. Staying updated on new system features and functionalities to implement best practices. Other: Key project participant for upgrade from Hyperion Essbase (Cloud) to Workday Adaptive Planning. Requirements gathering and leading migration from existing weekly branch level customer forecast tool (Board) to a simpler, more cost-effective solution to integrate with Workday Adaptive. Continued evaluation of internal KPIs and reporting for automation, including partnering with IT data team for creating PowerBI dashboards. Oversight of the accuracy of financial data, including adjustments to Pay/Bill and General Ledger data for smoothing high-level accruals / month end adjustments. Other projects as designated by FP&A leadership or CFO.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field. Minimum 5 years FP&A experience. Expert level systems and technology skills. Analytical skills to interpret data and provide insights. Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis principles. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.  Experience in formula building/modeling.  Experience with system administration tasks, including user management and security controls. 

 

Competencies (Skills & Knowledge You’ll Bring)

Prior use of Workday Adaptive Planning is preferred.  Prior experience with leading Adaptive Planning (or similar tools such as Planful, Anaplan, BPC, OneStream) system upgrades or implementation is a significant plus. Proficiency in Hyperion Essbase (Cloud) configuration and functionality preferred. SQL/Snowflake experience preferred. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with stakeholders across different levels. Identifies key components of problems and situations, and generates a range of creative solutions, evaluating them, and choosing the most appropriate option. Communicates information and ideas clearly and articulately both in oral and written form.  Uses appropriate language, style and methods depending on audience and the purpose of communication. Takes balanced view of situations incorporating different perspectives.  Recognizes prioritize, weighs different options, and evaluates risks.  Reaches logic conclusions and decides on appropriate plan of action. Achieves results in a quality, timely, and cost-effective way.  Sees priorities, plans the efficient use of resources, and monitors progress against objectives. Responds positively to change and adapts to new situations quickly.  Able to take on a diverse range of tasks effectively.

 

The anticipated annual base salary for this position in the US is $110,000 to $130,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
