Hiring for an FPGA Electrical Engineer with DO-254 experience for a leading aerospace manufacturer in West Hartford, CT.

Description:
• Firmware development experience using VHDL is required
• Experience with the DO-254 Certification Process
• The ability to create verification test-benches to simulate the firmware code using Siemens Modelsim/Questa, Synopsys VCS or equivalent simulation tools is required
• FPGA design skills using software tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Microsemi Libero, Intel Quartus and Synplify or similar tools for synthesis is required
• The ability to perform FPGA timing closure, power estimate and pin assignments is required
• Ability to debug hardware and firmware issues in the lab using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• The ability to work independently on firmware development tasks and seek out information to accomplish the tasks is required
• The ability to follow our established firmware development best practices is required
• Ability to develop firmware in a Windows and Linux OS environment
• Experience documenting moderately complex engineering designs is required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Strong organizational skills are required
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to multi-task are required
