Fpga Design Engineer

Hiring for an FPGA Electrical Engineer with DO-254 experience for a leading aerospace manufacturer in West Hartford, CT.

Description:

•\tFirmware development experience using VHDL is required

•\tExperience with the DO-254 Certification Process

•\tThe ability to create verification test-benches to simulate the firmware code using Siemens Modelsim/Questa, Synopsys VCS or equivalent simulation tools is required

•\tFPGA design skills using software tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Microsemi Libero, Intel Quartus and Synplify or similar tools for synthesis is required

•\tThe ability to perform FPGA timing closure, power estimate and pin assignments is required

•\tAbility to debug hardware and firmware issues in the lab using various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers and signal generators

•\tThe ability to work independently on firmware development tasks and seek out information to accomplish the tasks is required

•\tThe ability to follow our established firmware development best practices is required

•\tAbility to develop firmware in a Windows and Linux OS environment

•\tExperience documenting moderately complex engineering designs is required

•\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills are required

•\tStrong organizational skills are required

•\tThe ability to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to multi-task are required
