Job Description:
The primary function of this role is to design, develop, and evaluate FPGA platforms for AR displays. This is an FPGA design engineering role to support display validation and prototyping efforts.
Responsibilities:
+ FPGA design engineering to support validation and prototyping efforts on the display panel team.
+ Develop and revise RTL designs that drive validation and/or prototyping platforms for our AR display backplanes.
+ Assemble and modify existing implementations to meet validation needs.
+ Build, test, and modify prototypes using working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
+ Evaluate implementations and make necessary modifications to ensure the system operates in conformance with specifications.
+ Confer with engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate the interface between hardware and software and the operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
+ Provide training and support to system designers and users.
Skills:
+ Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.
+ Team player and detail-oriented.
+ 5 years of experience designing FPGAs for benchtop applications and prototypes.
+ Experience in working with Consumer Electronics.
+ Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of FPGA implementations.
+ Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software including applications and programming.
+ Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to the engineering field.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Engineering.
+ Lab experience and EE expertise are major pluses.
