FPGA Systems Engineer
**Description** SAIC is seeking a **FPGA Systems Engineer** to join the Advanced Hypersonic Weapons & Guided Munitions Division team in Dahlgren, VA. The position will be responsible for all activities associated with software development of Naval gun weapons systems. Activities include maintaining flight executive code and develop and /integrating new hardware and software interfaces, floor planning, test and verification, and troubleshooting. The position will work with a team of SEs, programmers to integrate analog and digital electronics to pass all milestone reviews deliver product to DoD customers. Job duties: + Develop embedded systems software, primarily in C/C++ Develop performant, real-time Linux applications for resource constrained systems + Develop FGA firmware to meet mission needs + Develop, update and maintain FPGA firmware and develop/integrate new hardware/software interfaces. **Qualifications** **Education and experience:** + A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline at least two (2) years of experience; years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. **Required skills:** + Develop, update and maintain **FPGA firmware** and develop/integrate new hardware/software interfaces. + Knowledgeable or familiar with the following: + Analog and digital design including, serial communication, logic design, power design, signal filtering and wave shaping. + Working in a multi-disciplinary team with software, firmware, mechanical and systems engineers. + Configuration Management Toolsets for version control of hardware, software, and documentation. + Knowledgeable in Programming and Scripting Languages (C/C++; Verilog; Python; TCL; Shell scripts; Git Version Control). **Required clearance:** + Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
