Location: Mentor / RP, OH
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent
Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/ quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment. Previous casting experience is a plus.
Principal Area of Responsibility: The finisher must be able to perform operations and operate all equipment efficiently in the belting, stoning and gauging of metal castings, defined as turbine components or castings of comparable weight and size (from approximately 5 to 75 pounds).
Specific Duties:
Belt and stone finishing and refinishing of visual indications.Perform all gauging necessary.Ensure dimensional integrity of all parts utilizing gauges, micrometers, calipers and dial indicators.Insure visual acceptance of castings.Pass inspection test.May perform other duties as specified by the supervisor.Records on a daily basis all work performed and correct distribution of work time identifying same by operational codes. Must follow number routing card in sequence.Keeps work area clean, orderly, and in safe condition, following all safety rules.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.Any and all additional responsibilities as required or assigned.
