FQHC Medical Billing Specialist
Description We are seeking a skilled Medical Billing Specialist with expertise in FQHC billing practices and a proven track record of insurance collections. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, resolving complex billing issues, and working closely with insurance providers to maximize reimbursements. Key Responsibilities • FQHC Billing: Manage and process claims in compliance with FQHC-specific billing guidelines, including sliding fee scales and regulations for federally funded programs. • Insurance Collections: Monitor, follow up on, and resolve outstanding accounts receivable from insurance companies, ensuring timely collection of payments. • Claims Management: Submit accurate claims and resolve denials or discrepancies efficiently. • Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to healthcare billing regulations (HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid) and FQHC-relevant protocols. • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on billing, collections, and financial performance to identify trends and areas for improvement. • Collaboration: Work closely with clinical and administrative staff to streamline workflows and address billing-related issues.
