Fracture Mechanics Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a **Fracture Mechanics Engineer** to join the team with HX5, a teammate company. The **Fracture Mechanics Engineer** will: + Develop fracture mechanics and programming solutions for the NASGRO® Fracture Mechanics and Fatigue Crack Growth Software applications suite. + Participate in research projects in fracture mechanics and fatigue + Interact with the community of software users extensively + Perform other duties as required. **Requisition Qualifications:** This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised. + Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering and a minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area. + Expertise in computational methods and tools to solve Fracture Mechanics problems + Ability to navigate through and write additional segments of code to existing software with Fortran core and C++ graphical user interface. + Ability to write Fortran code is essential. + Knowledge of GUI tool kits such as wxWidgets is desirable. + Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are needed. Ability to respond efficiently and competently to queries from large user community is essential. + Ability to work effectively, rationally and quickly in real-time environments of rapid-change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure. + Familiarity with MS Office Software is expected. + Familiarity with LaTeX system for technical documentation is desirable. **Requisition Preferences:** + Engineer with Master's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering school and a minimum of eight (8) years of direct engineering experience, or a Ph.
