Framing Foreman
**Job Title: Framing Foreman** **Job Description** The Framing Foreman provides day-to-day supervision of on-site construction activities, typically on one job site at a time. This role involves leading field staff and subcontracted labor, creating daily and weekly objectives, and ensuring that the contracted scope of work is satisfied. The Framing Foreman represents the company in the field to customers, subcontractors, vendors, employees, and other trades. **Responsibilities** + Supervise on-site construction activities and field staff. + Create daily and weekly objectives or game plans. + Assist crew leads by laying out the framing work and snapping chalk lines. + Organize materials and manpower in collaboration with the Project Manager. + Report daily progress of the field crew to the office. + Ensure all crew members know their goals and tasks for the day. + Help manage the crew throughout the day. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of wood frame construction experience. + 1+ years of experience running crews (2-3 people minimum) in framing or trim work. + 2+ years of experience working with blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts. + 3+ years of experience using hand tools such as hammer, cat's paw, pry bar, speed square, utility knife, and chalk line. + Ability to read a tape measure to the nearest inch, half inch, quarter inch, and one-eighth inch marks (one-sixteenth and thirty-second inch marks for trim carpenters). + Ability to perform basic construction, demolition, and cleanup tasks. + Willingness to lift up to 80 lbs. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + OSHA 10 Certification (or willingness to obtain). + HAZCOM Certification (or willingness to obtain). **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package including Paid Time Off, a 401k program with matching after meeting eligibility requirements, standard rate health insurance, dental and/or vision insurance available through payroll deduction, and a base life insurance policy with options to increase coverage through payroll deduction. **Work Environment** You will be working on commercial job sites such as motels, apartment complexes, and senior living centers, typically involving new builds. You will work independently or with one other company employee on site. The dress code includes jeans, company shirt, leather boots, and provided PPE such as vest, hard hat, and safety equipment. The workweek consists of 45 hours, typically from 6-4:30 or 7-5:30. You will need to bring a basic tool belt with hand tools, but no large equipment is required. Be prepared to work outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold and heat, and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner while interacting with the public courteously and respectfully. **Location** Minnetonka, Minnesota - Twin Cities Projects **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
