Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Fraud Specialist in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The role involves a significant amount of administrative work, with a focus on identifying and investigating potential fraudulent cases within the organization. Responsibilities: • Scrutinize suspicious applications flagged by the internal team and conduct a thorough investigation to establish their authenticity. • Utilize the CRM and Datatel Management System to maintain and update records of each investigation. • Carefully verify the legitimacy of IDs provided by potential students using Veriscan and other verification tools. • Communicate effectively with individuals under investigation, requesting additional information when necessary. • Collaborate closely with the team to share findings and work towards reducing the incidence of fraud. • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and focus in order to accurately process and record information. • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations during the investigation process. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and update a master spreadsheet of suspicious cases. • Document all actions taken and findings in each case for future reference. • Use FAFSA information and other resources to further vet the authenticity of applications under investigation. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Fraud Specialist or in a similar role • Proficiency in using CRM software to manage and analyze customer data • Experience with Datatel or similar management systems is a must • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks or projects effectively • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting • Understanding of compliance regulations • Excellent documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
