The CNA Class is responsible for providing quality care to patients in a healthcare setting. The position requires a high level of compassion, patience, and attention to detail. The CNA Class will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and will be responsible for assisting our veterans with; bathing, dressing, and grooming. The CNA Class will also be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and documenting patient care.
*If accepted into this Free CNA Class you will be paid $12.00/hour while in class. *Classes are held 8:00 am- 4:30pm Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays- 4 weeks total * (Clinicals will be 6:00 am-6:00 pm at our facility)Responsibilities:
Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the licensed nurse
Administer medications as directed by the licensed nurse
Document patient care in accordance with facility policies and procedures
Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
Provide emotional support to patients and their families
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care plans
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Current CNA certification in the state of Utah
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift and move patients as needed
