Free People is looking for a Merchandise Planning Manager who will creatively lead and manage the Free People planning team to maximize sales and profit by developing sound merchandise plans that support the company’s goals for sales, turn, and margin.

Role Responsibilities Working closely with various departments to ensure that corporate initiatives and strategies are accurately reflected in the plan and forecast of sales, inventory, and receiptsClearly communicating, developing, and providing reporting and analysis to highlight important trends and/or support key initiativesTaking trend and merchant direction and interpreting it into a profitable strategyChallenging the status quo Managing, coaching, and developing planning teamMotivating/pushing the planning team to maximizing opportunities Managing the OTB and inventory for all divisions; ability to break down the business and find profit driving opportunitiesSupporting and developing the division through information systems Aiding in the budgeting process Role Qualifications Superior financial and analytical skillsStrong management skillsResults orientedCreative problem solver/ “outside the box” thinkerStrong communication skillsWorks well in teams
