Position Overview:

As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team, you will be working by the water, with our large variety fleet of boats, as a customer-focused team member! Freedom Boat Club is the nation’s oldest and largest private member boat club, and we are looking for friendly and upbeat individuals to greet members and work on the docks. This position is part-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. 

Starting pay for this position: $13/hour

Essential Functions:

Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standardsAnticipate and address guests’ service needsThank guests with genuine appreciationMake and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquetteNavigate the reservation system via handheld tabletComplete daily clerical work to prepare reservation system, fuel logs and weather reportsFamiliarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic guidance to membersSpeak with others using clear and professional languageSupport the team to reach common goalsEnsure your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalFollow all company policies and proceduresMaintain confidentiality of proprietary informationPerform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisorsWork outside in the state’s elements and stand for an extended period of time

Required Qualifications:

Pass a background check and drug screenBe at least 18 years of ageAbility to read and manipulate handheld tablets and communicate via phoneAvailability to work regularly weekdays, weekends and holidaysAbility to adhere to all safety policies

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in or around boatsStrong communication and customer service skillsAbility to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activityPositive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised

Working Conditions:

Work outdoors and in various weather conditions for an extended period of timeWork in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floatingWork near and on the water
