Freelance Airport Transfer Assistants - ITALY
Freelance Transfer Tour Director – Italy   Are you based in Rome, Milan, or Venice area? Are you a morning person? Are you flexible and enjoy meeting new people? Do you thrive in ever-changing environments and excel under pressure? 
If you answered yes to the above questions, you have come to the right place!  Based out of the EF Rome Regional Office, you would meet US and Canadian school groups arriving to or departing from Italy in Spring (March/April) and/or Summer (June/July).  Who we are   Education First (EF) is the world’s largest international education company, offering global travel and study abroad, language learning, cultural exchange, and academic programmes. EF Educational Tours is one of EF’s products, providing educational group travel to students all over the world.    The role   A Transfer Tour Director (TTD) accompanies the group from the airport to their main Tour Director and/or vice versa. A TTD is needed when groups are arriving or departing on different flights, and the main Tour Director cannot be on all transfers at the same time.   The types of transfers you will lead will include airport-to-hotel/city transfers by bus or public transport and/or departure transfers from the hotel to the airport at the end of the tour.  This role might also involve spending some extra time with the groups before leaving them to the main Tour Director.  Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:    Being part of a pool of freelance TTDs covering transfers from Mon to Sun, from early morning until later in the evening.  Meeting groups of students/teachers and interacting with them on their airport transfers  Being the face of EF and representing the company at all times   Connecting with the group’s Tour Director before and during the transfer   Communicating with the group at the airport by welcoming them and giving out important safety & practical information.  Communicating with suppliers and EF Operations before and during the transfer, where applicable  Ensuring the safety of the group and their belongings     Requirements:     Fluent in written & spoken English   Based in Milan, Venice, or Rome area  Proximity or easy access to the main airports of the areas above  Able to legally work in Italy  Available in March/April and June/July    Willingness to work some very early mornings   Organizational skills & good attention to detail   Excellent communication & interpersonal skills   Flexible to adapt to ever-changing situations   Remain calm under pressure     Good to have:   Experience leading groups or as a group leader    Familiarity with your nearest airport   Knowledge of North American culture   Still not sure if the position is for you?
