Gathers patient information for emergency room patients in the functional areas of admissions, discharges, insurance verification and emergency room treatment records. High school diploma or GED equivalent and exhibit proficiency in patient care and oral communication skills.At least one year of experience as a nursing assistance, EMT, monitor tech, or unit secretary, preferably in the area of application.Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN.Must obtain and maintain a current certificate in AHA CPR.Must maintain any other requirements for each specific department.Must complete required department competencies and maintain through annual reviewGrandview Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and offers programs and services in all medical and surgical areas, including Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, Women's Health, Mental Health, Digestive Diseases, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Sports Medicine and Emergency Care.
