Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Front Desk Coordinator - Wound Care - Full Time, Days - Wound Care-Patchogue - Full-Time - 08:00 AM.

In this role, the successful candidate The front desk staff supports the site team through exemplary customer service to our patients The staff member organizes and coordinates the patient intake and other appointments Routes calls to appropriate personal Schedules patients paying close attention to Physician Scope of practice as well as insurances accepted by the specific provider Adheres to established protocols and work flow processes Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with site team has the ability to multitask and can manage high volume without compromising quality of care Monitors stock and orders office supplies while maintaining invoices for offices supplies Ensures Companys policies budget and security requirements are met Responsible for all Medical Record Organization and filing This position works closely with Registration and insurance verification personnel

Job Responsibilities:

Organizes all office operations: clerical and administrative functions such as reception computer inputting and/or typing collecting data and scanning for the purpose of record keeping scheduling maintains sufficient workflow by evaluating productivity and revising schedules accordingly Works collaboratively with Registrar ensuring authorizations referrals are in place as it pertains to scheduling Assists Medical Director Director and Nurse Manager with scheduling of appointments and meetings Functions as liaison for Hospitals collection of Medical records for Billing Maintains Medical record room according to Hospital Policy Assists Director with completion of Human resource forms and credentialing materials required for physicians and other staff as assigned Assists Director with preparing and monitoring Physician schedules for work and vacations Assumes primary responsibility for keeping accurate records for the hospital by collating and compiling statistical information for daily weekly and monthly reports as required Responsible for duplicating and distributing receiving and requesting patient records to and from other agencies Requisitions office supplies equipment materials and forms as necessary including submission of POs and check requests Maintains attendance records for staff meetings Organizes and maintains confidential MD and Administrative files as requested Maintains cleanliness of waiting room and informational material as required Provides varied clerical duties such as reception computer inputting scanning data collection writing of memos and photocopying Responsible for taking Meeting minutes and maintaining confidential minute files for Management Maintains Petty cash fund ensuring accuracy and replenishing as needed under guidance of Director Completes miscellaneous duties as requested by Director and/or Nurse Manager Displays a positive attitude and outlook verbal and nonverbal body language Attitude toward change: Works effectively in a variety of situations recognizes the need for change can cope with its threatening aspects and puts its positive aspects to good use Customer Service Skills: Able to successfully manage customer experiences Teamwork: Works in the spirit of cooperation and collaboration to achieve mutual goals Initiative: Able to know what needs to be done and takes action striving for the highest level of job performance Time Management: Able to organize work and use time effectively Respect and Caring: Treats others with interest concern and compassion; respecting differences in style approach and background Interpersonal Skills: Maintains positive work relationships Communication Skills: Able to convey ideas and information clearly Feedback: Able to accept constructive feedback and integrate into performance Flexibility: Able to redirect day to day activities based on departmental/organizational needs Problem Solving: Offers solutions to problems when appropriate

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High school diploma with basic literacy and knowledge of medical terminology supervisory and/or office management experience Excellent computer skills in EMR Scheduler Outlook Word Excel and Power Point etc Continued education through medical records seminars workshops Participation in departmental meetings in services and training assists with EMR implementation Greeting patients in a polite courteous manner Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills demonstrable in interactions with Physicians administrators staff patients and visitors Ability to concentrate pay attention to detail and utilize analytic skills demonstrable through data collection and review assisting patients with admission paperwork including consents and Patient bill of Rights scheduling scanning and other assigned duties Inform Nurse Manager of waiting room times patient inquires etc Ability to sit 75 of the time at the front end and walk 25 of the time Able to lift 20 lbs

Long Island Community Hospital provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $46,137.00 - $46,137.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
