The reimagined Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort will relaunch as The Sunny, Miami’s new premier beachside retreat opening in late 2024.T As we embark on this exciting journey of innovation and growth, we are looking for passionate and service-oriented individuals to join our team and help shape the future of our newly envisioned property.

 

The Front Desk Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience and ensuring that the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently. As the first point of contact for guests, you will lead the front desk team in providing top-tier service while overseeing daily operations. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a team and contribute to the success of a hotel that is quickly becoming the best in its class.

The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace. 

 

 

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

Manage and inspire the front desk team, ensuring high standards of guest service, professionalism, and communication.Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and effectively.Oversee the daily operations of the front desk, including check-in/check-out procedures, reservations, and guest billing.Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to front desk staff to promote growth and success.Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and a seamless guest experience.Utilize hotel management software to manage reservations, track guest preferences, and ensure all billing is accurate and up-to-date.As the hotel undergoes enhancements, act as a key ambassador for the transformation, helping to communicate changes and improvements to guests and staff.

 

Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Proven experience in a hotel or hospitality environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a team.Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to manage and resolve guest complaints and concerns with professionalism and grace.Familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., OPERA, PMS).Flexible and adaptable to changes, especially in a dynamic environment undergoing renovations.A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service.
