Overview Job Title: Front Desk Manager About Us: Pyramid Global Hospitality operates a portfolio of award-winning, premium-brand hotels in some of the country’s best cities. The Front Desk Manager is responsible for the successful management and daily operations of the Front Desk. To maintain the integrity of daily routines, checklists, guest issues, and service standards. S/he will ensure a quality and unique service experience and work to maximize guest satisfaction. S/he will maintain the AAA Three Diamond standards. The Front Desk Manager will always conduct him/herself in manners that support the guiding principles. What You'll Do: Oversee all daily Front Office operations and ensure superior guest satisfaction. Financial responsibilities include managing the annual budget, maintain labor costs to forecast/budget, manage spending accounts and review monthly Profit & Loss reports. Maintain proper staffing levels for all departments (Front Desk Agents, Bell Staff, Concierge). Ensure proper training materials are in place and used by each department. Implement coaching, career planning and recognition programs for all associates. Daily monitoring of room inventory, rate, and plan availability. Maintain average daily rate to ensure revenue maximization forecasting occupancy. Attend required meetings and ensured all information is communicated to staff. Participates in Revenue Optimization Committee (ROC) meetings. Ensure authority and responsibility is properly delegated to all associates, so that the workload is distributed equally and handled in a professional manner. Ensure all guest comments regarding any deficiency in the Front Office area are corrected. Ensure all guest contact is handled in a courteous manner. Must be knowledgeable and possess the ability to perform all clerk essential functions and supportive functions. Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events. Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information. Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests. Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude. Follows set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds. Maintains constant awareness of safety issues, (i.e., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks and suspicious persons). Acts with responsibility towards all company property, supplies and equipment. Maintains a professional appearance. Follows all Skamania Lodge dress code standards. Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues always. Performs other duties as assigned. Supportive functions: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the resort. Attend meetings in place of the Director of Rooms. Inspect guest rooms. Perform Manager on Duty shifts. Relieve Front Office departments or staff for breaks/lunches Assist with the communications switchboard COMPENSATION: $30.00 an hour BENEFITS: We provide full-time benefits to hourly employees that work 30 or more hours per week. PTO ACCRUAL (includes Holiday hours that can be used for personal PTO) Hire to one year: 88 hours/year, 120 Max (.04231 X All Hours Paid) 1 years/Less than 5 years: 128 hours/year, 160 Max (.06154) 5 years/Less than 10 years: 168 hours/year, 200 Max (.08077) 10+ years: 208 hours/year, 240 Max (.10000) HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours per week. This is a 24-7, 365 days a year business that will require some work during nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have a flexible schedule that can move between shifts and days as needed. LOCATION: Stevenson, WA 22 miles from White Salmon, WA 23 miles from Hood River, OR 28 miles from Washougal, WA 30 miles from Troutdale, OR 30 miles from Camus, WA 50 minutes from Vancouver, WA 50 minutes from Portland, OR Qualifications Valid Driver’s License Prior hospitality experience At least one-year supervisory experience. At least one-year hotel front desk experience Must be able to read, write and speak English. Excellent customer service skills and phone etiquette. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs. Excellent team building and leadership skills. Must be able to work well under pressure and prioritize job duties. Ability to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written. Ability to deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates. Ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner. Must have a passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests. Must be professional in appearance and demeanor. CPR certified. PCI Compliance Training (done at time of hire). Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $30.00/Hr. - $30.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
