Description
A nonprofit organization in Poway, CA, is seeking a warm, organized, and service-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join their team. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while supporting the organization’s daily operations and impactful programs.
Key Responsibilities
+ Greet visitors, donors, volunteers, and staff with friendliness and professionalism to ensure an exceptional first impression.
+ Answer and direct phone calls and emails, addressing inquiries with accurate information or redirecting as needed.
+ Manage the reception area, maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
+ Schedule appointments, coordinate meeting rooms, and assist with event logistics as needed.
+ Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including deliveries, packages, and correspondence.
+ Assist with basic administrative duties, such as data entry, filing, and updating donor or client records.
+ Support special projects, programs, and events in collaboration with other team members.
Requirements
+ 1+ year of receptionist, front desk, or administrative experience preferred.
+ Experience in the nonprofit sector or with donor interactions is a plus.
+ High school diploma required; an associate degree or college coursework is preferred.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required.
+ Familiarity with donor management systems or database tools (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) is a bonus.
+ Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
+ Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for helping and supporting others.
+ Ability to handle a fast-paced environment while remaining composed and detail-oriented.
