Responsibilities We are looking for Front Desk staff to join our team at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute, a large outpatient behavioral health practice. Front Desk staff typically work between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:00 PM (some flexibility with start/end time, this is a 40-hour/week position). St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute is a growing organization of over 100 employees, including physicians, psychologists, licensed therapists, students, and support staff. We have several locations but this Front Desk position is located in our Macklind (1129 Macklind Ave, St. Louis) office (off of I-64, near the Science Center). This is an onsite (not remote) position. This position has an average starting pay of $16.00 an hour, depending on experience level. Day-to-day activities include: Greet and check in patients upon arrival Answer all incoming calls and voicemails, ensuring that voicemails are returned same business day Assist patients with registration and other relevant paperwork Schedule and cancel appointments for existing patients as needed Handle patient information in accordance with HIPAA and Privacy guidelines at all times Answer questions and address complaints Monitor and respond to emails same business day Assist with the creating of charts and appropriate filing of patient information Receive letters, packages etc. and distribute them Keep front desk and work space organized and presentable with all necessary materials (pens, forms, paper etc.) Prepare outgoing mail by drafting correspondence, securing parcels etc. Qualifications Proven experience as front desk representative, agent or relevant position Experience in the Customer Service Field or Medical or Behavioral Health Field strongly preferred. Familiarity with office machines (e.g. fax, printer, scanner etc.) Knowledge of office management and basic bookkeeping Proficient in English (oral and written) Proficient knowledge of MS Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word) Ability to learn additional technologies utilized, such as Zoom and Medworxs for scheduling Strong communication and people skills Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities Problem-solving skills of novel concerns Customer service orientation Participates positively in team work High School diploma; additional qualifications will be a plus
