Front End Driver
Front-End Drivers operate front-end trucks that provide services to a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts. This position will service multiple customers per day according to assigned routes. The waste will then need to be transferred to the appropriate station, landfill or drop-off location.



 

GFL Environmental Services is growing, and we are hiring a CDL Front End Driver to join our team in Smithfield, Pennsylvania. As a key member of our team, you will operate front-end trucks that provide services to a variety of multi-family residential and commercial routes removing and transporting waste or recyclables in fulfillment of customer contracts.

A “Day in the Life" of a Front-End Driver:

Drive commercial equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport it to post-collection facilities; maneuver truck in tight spaces using mirrors and GPS.Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections, complete logbooks and required reports, and follow safe operating practices, including lock out/tag out procedures.Open enclosures or gates and roll cans into position for dumping; monitor operations for loose debris and clean any spills around the truck and container.Interact courteously with customers and the public along the route; report any issues requiring management attention.Follow all safety standards, perform equipment checks, and comply with federal, state, local, and company rules on vehicle operation.
