Job Description A government entity in Portland OR is hiring a Front End Drupal Developer with strong experience in Drupal and Design Systems Management. The Developer will help customize an accessible, flexible, and well-documented design system framework for a website built in Drupal. The contractor will collaborate with a team comprising a Product Designer, Content Creator, Product Manager, Engineering Lead, and Engineering Team. The engagement focuses on re-theming an existing design system, building a design system pipeline, and providing documentation and training for effective implementation and long-term maintenance. This contractor will most likely spend 60% of their time with development and being heads down and the other 40% with collaboration, training junior developers in front end and documentation. Skills and Requirements 6+ years of experience in front end development. 6+ years of experience in Drupal. They have to be proficient in Drupal architecture, Drupal theming's and working with Twig templates and integrating SCSS/JS into Drupal's theming layers. Must be proficient in Design Systems Management (DSM) - building customizing and implementing bran guidelines with Design Systems.
