Overview

Chubb is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer with strong proficiency in Angular to join our team.  This is a permanent full-time position and a compelling opportunity to join a global, growing, financially stable and successful company.  As an industry leader, Chubb is an employer of choice for skilled technology professionals aspiring to develop a meaningful career in a fast-paced, diverse company with offices in most major cities in the world. As a UX/UI Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing intuitive user interfaces and delivering exceptional user experiences. Your expertise in Angular will be essential in creating scalable web applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, software engineers, and designers to ensure the best user-centric solutions.

Responsibilities

Collaborate within a Scrum Team to develop front end web application as per requirements. Drive standardization and re-usability across all projects  Delivering a complete front-end application with testing built into the code  Ensuring high performance desktop, across broad spectrum of browsers  Cooperating with the back-end engineer in the process of building the RESTful API  Collaborate with the stakeholders, the users and other development partners to implement state-of-the-art user experiences  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze, design, and ship new features  Participate actively in discussions, presentations and decisions about front end development, web applications etc.  Act as the impulse by providing clear guidance to the team’s questions during implementation phases  Clear written and verbal communications skills (English and Greek), including presentation skills 

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a Front-End developer, with a strong proficiency in Angular  A Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or other related field  Proven experience in designing and developing intuitive and user-friendly web applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript  Experience:  with CSS preprocessors  with RESTful APIs and Services  in reactive programming with RxJS  in testing with Jest  with Storybook  with Material and custom re-usable Components  with NX.DEV and Micro frontends  in business requirements analysis  Knowledge of building and tracking tools, such as Jira, Jenkins, Sonar  Knowledge of project lifecycles, with the understanding of project lifecycle methodologies suchas Agile, Waterfall and CI/CD  Strong communications skills with the ability to cooperate with both executives and technical staff in Greek and English  Experience in the Insurance or Banking Sectors will be considered as plus
